Invention at 100 explores a linear chronological look at the last 100 years of inventions by decade. For this compilation of digital illustrations I wanted to use a two dimensional poster style that at times shows hints of an art deco style. I used flat shades of colors consistent with the universitys palette for cohesiveness. This work explores mundane everyday inventions juxtaposed with historys ground breaking innovations revealing how the scope of invention has progressed over the past 100 years showing a clear shift from industrial automation and innovation, to the modern day exchange of digital data and information.
